The Lolldaiga Hills
A pristine wilderness of 49,000 acres, the Lolldaiga Hills is an amazing area focused on sustainable and responsible conservation and is also a working ranch. The ranch has resident lion, elephant, buffalo, and numerous antelope species. The varied landscapes with stunning vistas across Laikipia offers plenty of scope for adventure, and the activities on offer include wildlife drives, walking safaris, swimming in rivers, hiking up escarpments, and enjoying meals and sundowners out in the bush.
Lewa Conservancy
Lewa serves as a safe refuge for the critically endangered black rhino and the endangered Grevy’s zebra, as well as the elephant, lion, giraffe, wild dog and other iconic wildlife species in Kenya. The Conservancy is also home to more than 400 species of birds. Lewa has pioneered a conservation model that has emphasised educating local communities in order to better protect and preserve wildlife.
Abardare National Park
Picturesque, steep forested ravines and open moorland characterise the Aberdare National Park. The park provides a habitat for elephants, black rhinos and leopards among others. Rare sightings include those of the Giant Forest hog, bongo, golden cat and the blue duiker. Visitors can indulge in picnics, trout fishing in the rivers and camping in the moorlands. Bird viewing is also rewarding, with over 250 species of birds in the park.
Hiking Mt Kenya
Mount Kenya is made up of three main peaks, Batian (5,199m), Nelion (5,188m) and Point Lenana (4,985m). There are a number of different trekking routes on the mountain that vary in length and offer a variety of different views and perspectives of the mountain and the surrounding country. We offer shorter excursions from the property where we depart with a picnic lunch and spend the day hiking up the moorlands of the National Forest of Mt Kenya.
Chaka Ranch
The Chaka Ranch Leisure Park is located just 15 mins drive from the property. The ranch is a haven for outdoor lovers and boasts a unique outdoor entertainment facility comprising the biggest collection of quad bikes, go-karts and buggies in Kenya. The ranch also offers paintballing and has an extensive water park that provides an all-inclusive environment for family-fun activities.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy
The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a 360 km² non-profit wildlife conservancy in Central Kenya's Laikipia County. Ol Pejeta is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, and home to two of the world's last remaining northern white rhinos. It is the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees, in the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary established to rehabilitate animals rescued from the black market.
